Who Is JJCS For?

JJCS serves youth in grades 6–12 under the supervision of the Florida Department of Juvenile Justice (DJJ). Students are referred through the Juvenile Justice Intake system following referral by law enforcement.

Enrollment is not voluntary — students are placed here as part of court-ordered detention. All educational services are provided in accordance with M-DCPS standards and the student's individual academic needs.

Important: JJCS is a secured educational facility. Placement is coordinated through the Juvenile Justice system and M-DCPS.

Registration Requirements

  • Court referral / DJJ placement documentation
  • Previous school transcripts and academic records
  • Proof of age / birth certificate
  • Immunization records (Florida Form 680)
  • IEP or 504 Plan documentation (if applicable)
  • Social Security Number (for records purposes)
  • Emergency contact information
